Each month, our series highlights the people and organizations that make Tampa Bay stronger. These are the partners whose work reaches far beyond their mission statements and creates a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

This month, we’re proud to feature Kids Wish Network, a Palm Harbor-based nonprofit that has been bringing hope and happiness to children facing life-altering circumstances since 1997.

What began with the purpose of granting wishes to children with life-threatening conditions has grown into a nationwide organization with programs supporting children and families through some of life’s most difficult moments. In addition to creating personalized wish experiences, Kids Wish Network recognizes courageous children through its Hero of the Month program, provides toys and necessities through Project Toy Drop and Holiday of Hope, and offers compassionate assistance to grieving families through its A Child Forever program.

Our recent visit gave us a closer look at the care and thought that goes into creating these experiences. Each wish is designed to give a child and their family something joyful to anticipate, meaningful memories to carry forward and a much-needed sense of hope.

Through the support of donors, volunteers, corporate partners and healthcare professionals, Kids Wish Network continues to reach children across the country. Their work is a powerful reminder that one thoughtful experience can make a lasting difference for a child navigating an incredibly challenging time.
